In this class, we will explore Yin and Yang in relation to our habits and tendencies on the mat. Yin and Yang is a concept originating in ancient Chinese philosophy describing how opposite or contrary forces such as dark and light, cold and hot, soft and hard, feminine and masculine are to be seen as complementary and interconnected. Exercise (Asana) is no exception. Most of us lean more towards Yin or Yang. Whether you are incredibly flexible or extremely tight, this class aims to discover how to balance these two areas for a more efficient practice.
This is a physical asana practice. Bring your mat and come prepared for practice. We have mats at the shala for your use if you don’t have your own.
